Invicta Technical College has the following entry requirements:

For Domestic Students (Australian Students)

Students must:

• be at least 18 years of age at the time of course commencement.
• have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent schooling; and hold a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or be able to demonstrate equivalent vocational competency in an automotive body repair or related trade qualification (Certificate III in Automotive Glazing Technology, Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology, Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology) as required by the AUR Training Package.
• participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course, confirm learner needs, and assess their ability to engage with digital learning and diagnostic technologies used throughout training and assessment.
• demonstrate physical capacity and manual dexterity to safely perform body repair and refinishing activities, including use of panel repair tools, sanding and painting equipment, metal shaping and welding tools, and adherence to workplace health and safety standards.

For International Students (CRICOS Students)

Students must:

• be at least 18 years of age at the time of course commencement.
• have completed Australian Year 12 (or overseas equivalent); and have completed a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or related trade qualification (Certificate III in Automotive Glazing Technology, Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology, Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology) as required by the AUR Training Package.
• participate in a course entry interview to establish suitability for the course, confirm understanding of course expectations, learning style, and capability to use digital and workshop technologies.
• applicants may require to undertake the Language, Literacy, Numeracy and digital (LLND) test to achieve a required ACSF level to meet College’s entry requirement.
• have an IELTS score of 6.0* (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:
o educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or
o successful completion of an English Placement Test at IELTS level 6.0

* Note that other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. Students are required to provide their results so that it can be confirmed they are equivalent to IELTS 6.0.

• demonstrate adequate physical fitness and health to safely engage in automotive body repair and refinishing tasks, including metalwork, paint preparation, and spray-painting processes.
