Why HLTAID011 First Aid Training?

Emergencies can occur anytime and anywhere. Being skilled in providing first aid can be of great help during emergencies. For example, if someone suffers a heart attack while standing in a queue, a person trained in first aid becomes important to the victim. The HLTAID011 first aid course will give students the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to the first aid recommendations of the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). The HLTAID011 course is essential for anybody who must respond to emergencies in their neighbourhood, public venue or workplace. Candidates will be able to assess emergencies, ensure bystanders' safety, and evaluate the casualty and their requirements after completing the HLTAID011 first aid training. Candidates will also acquire the necessary skills to convey the details of the incident to emergency services and provide first aid as per established principles and guidelines. The HLTAID011 training also equips candidates with the skills necessary to perform CPR and use available resources to assist a casualty on the spot. Our HLTAID011 Online courses are user friendly and easy to follow.

About The HLTAID011 Course

At Invicta Technical College, we provide first aid HLTAID011 courses that benefit professionals and others. The HLTAID011 first aid course assesses the written knowledge as well as the practical skills of the learner. No prior practical experience or expertise concerning first aid is required to enrol in the HLTAID011 training program. However, we do require learners to provide photo identification before the commencement of the course. The HLTAID011 training program has an approximate duration of around 16.5 hours that includes:
  • One-hour course administration,
  • Eight hours of pre-course online learning
  • Four hours of supervised training
  • Three and half hours of supervised assessment.

Assessment & Mode Of Learning

We blend traditional classroom-based learning along with practical skills and activities in simulated first aid scenarios. This ensures that the learners get the required hands-on experience to perform the job efficiently in real-life situations. We maintain a 1:10 trainer/student ratio to ensure that proper individual attention is provided and so that there is no compromise on the quality of HLTAID011 training. Some of the practical assessment scenarios in the HLTAID011 course include cardiac arrest, asthma, fracture, head injury, spider bites and nosebleed, among others.
